Dr. Charles Ham, GVSU

​            Topic: Fantastic Creatures in the Greek and Roman Imagination

                        About Dr. Charles Ham: Dr. Charles Ham is an Assistant Professor of Classics at Grand Valley State University in Allendale,

                                                          Michigan. He teaches a wide range of courses on the ancient Greek and Roman worlds and their modern

                                                          reception. His main research interest has been in Roman poetry (especially that of Ovid) and its relationship

                                                          to the Greek and Roman philosophical tradition, but he has also recently become interested in the topic of

                                                          literature and the environment.  He is very excited to attend his third MJCL conference!
